I use it teaching physics. It's very basic but it's perfect for showing the progression of the seasons and the movement of the stars. In addition, the orrery allows me to change the angle of view of the solar system clearly showing the 'plane' of planetary rotation. Also, the satellite data clearly shows the mathematical relationships between near orbit and geosynchronous orbits.
